A shock runs through your entire body, shaking you to your core as you grasp the orb and look into its swirling depths. The mind of Naar peers into you, finds your soul, and in its stead, finds himself as well, for you are a part of Naar, his darkness a streak within your very spirit. His gaze, his voice, his power, sparks a change within, and the mutation hastens, changing you forever. You are no longer a mere Drakkar, no longer a neo-Drakkarim, but more, fuller, and greater than anything that has come before, for you are now one of the New Dark Lords upon the face of Magnamund. Power beyond your own comes to play, and Naar, combining within you the power of the ancient Dark Lords, with the forces of the Mortal Drakkarim, founds a new order of beings that if allowed to prosper will change the face of not only Magnamund, but the entirety of Aon forever.

You have changed, and as such have gained new abilities. You are able to select four of the Dark Lord abilities listed below. Choose with care for great dangers still lie ahead of you that even fate could not declare. An unwise choice at this point may mean disaster for you soon, even at this late point in the plans of Naar. For each of these items that you possess, Haakon's stone, Helshezag, and The Stone of Gnaag, you may add an additional ability. (For example, if you possess Haakon's stone and Helshezag you could obtain 2 more abilities for a total of 6 abilities) (Thus, if you have all three you may choose up to a maximum of 7 abilities).

  • Strength - This adds 20 Endurance points to your initial score
  • BattleSkill - This adds 10 points to your initial Combat Skill
  • Immunity to Weapons - This make you immune to normal weapons
  • Immunity to Spells - This makes you immune to spells cast directly at you
  • Immunity to Temperature - No temperature is too extreme for you whether hot or cold
  • Mental Prowess - This creates a massively intelligent creature with increased Mindshield, Mindblast now adds +3 to your Combat Skill
  • Speed - Increases your speed and dexterity to great heights
  • Mortal Form - You are able to disguise your Darklord attributes by taking the form of another race of Humanoid
  • Crypt Spawn - You are able to draw Crypt Spawn from the plane of Darkness to fight for you
  • Sense - You can sense others, objects, barriers, etc. without ever seeing them

These abilities, though empowering, come with a price. As you feel your new found powers coursing through your body, you feel other changes occurring, mutations that change the very way you look. For every ability you attain your body changes in one way. For each ability pick a number once on the chart below (or develop your own changes without the chart) to determine the effects it has on your body. Some have multiple choices beside the number of which you may choose from.

  • 0=fur covers your body
  • 1=fangs or a snout
  • 2=skeletal features
  • 3=transparent or reptilian skin
  • 4=multiple eyes, mouths, or ears
  • 5=multiple arms or legs
  • 6=double in size
  • 7=eyes change color or glow
  • 8=claws, scales, horns or tail
  • 9=emanate fear, horror, or obeisance to others beholding you.

Once you have determined all your new found abilities and changes occurring to your body, turn to 26.
