21'Naar already has me you fool!' You spit upon Lakaast's fallen form, despising the traitor at the last. But then, your senses flare up, for you detect that you still are not alone. Another still waits for you in this room. Out of the shadows, your secret foe, Rune Fire, Supreme Master of the Kai emerges. He does not bear his great sword, the Sommerswerd, yet his weapon is still magical, for on its hilt you can identify the wolf's head of the other great weapon of Lone Wolf, one created for, but never used by him, Skarn-Ska. 'I suspected things would turn foul in the Xagash's bargain,' Rune Fire remarks sardonically, his expression wry with dry sarcasm. 'Still, he has served his purpose, and brought me here. Originally he said it was to witness the completion of his end of the contract, but I knew, even as I saw you emerge this final time, it was one he could not fulfill.' You return the Kai Supreme Master's stare, for this is the first time you have actually seen and talked to Rune Fire so closely. It is as if you were engaging in casual conversation, a strange thing considering that you both will probably be trying to kill each other in a few seconds. 'So you are the object we have so desperately tried to destroy,' Rune Fire looks you up and down. 'You have changed since I last saw you, presumably into your true form.' With a harsh laugh he states, 'You looked better before the change, though I must admit, you were no charmer even then.' Instead of giving in to your rage, you note to him, 'You are missing your little sword.' He stares down at Skarn-Ska, and then simply states, 'The Prophecy.' Hefting up Wolf's Blade in both hands, he nods to you. 'Should we get on with this?' With a nod of your head you comply. Kai Supreme Master Rune Fire: Combat Skill: 42 Endurance: 60 He is immune to all forms of Mental attack. If you reduce him to 10 or less endurance, turn to 50. |
