You step through the main doors, into the inky blackness beyond. As your vision adjusts to the gloom you see wraithlike figures approaching, their misty apparitions inching to where you stand. You whip out your weapon, throwing yourself in front of Goragik, but are instantly calmed when these Nadziranim greet you.

'Peace, Dark One, for you are the chosen warrior for whom we have waited for so long.' One, larger than the rest, transforms into a magnificent Red Dragon and strides toward you, bowing its head in obeisance. 'We have expected you, for the prophecy said you would come, we just did not know it would be so long.' Noting the blankness on your face as it tells you concerning an unknown prophecy, the Red Dragon motions for you to follow and explains on the way to wherever your destination may be.

'The prophecy, it speaks of many things, of there being two prophecies, one of darkness, and one of light. For us, we hold to the prophecy of darkness, for the Kai, to that of the light. For us the darkness of Naar will hold true, and in the end prove to be the only prophecy that the future holds, for even now we see it coming to pass. It speaks of one who will once again unite the forces of darkness, who will lead them to victory, and under his guidance lead Magnamund into a new dark age where Naar will finally rule supreme. You, Dark One, are the chosen warrior of that vision. To you we will obey, to you we will adhere, and pity any that stand in our way, for under you stand the Nadziranim council, under you stand the Xagash, under you stand the Drakkarim, and now, under you stand the Nadziranim of the Tower of Gnaag. Not since the time of that great Arch-Lord have the Nadziranim been united, now for the first time since then the irresistible power of all the Nadziranim are once more combined.' The Red Dragon stops, for you have entered a room where you sense great power is held in store.

In the middle of the room on an ornate altar lies a black sphere filled with swirling darkness. At its side stands a White Dragon, bearing a blade of frost as if on constant guard. Looking over at Goragik, you see her face has turned to awe. 'I did not know any of these still existed.,' you hear her whisper.

'This is the source of your fulfillment, Dark One.' The Red Dragon indicates to the orb. 'It is a direct link to Naar himself, and the point of power to which you will be changed to the Chosen One of prophecy. You must touch it young warrior, and in touching it, restore the hopes of all the armies of darkness.' With trepidation, you step forward and grasp the orb.

Turn to 32.
