14Note that you are now using a spear, for as with all the cavalry, in order to best utilize the charge, a lance (spear) is set in the arm to do the most damage at the farthest reach. Almost instantly you take charge, leading the Cavalry before the Captain of the Regiment has time to act. With a cry, you lead them out of the breach and across the small area before the Lake of Blood, across to where the enemy cavalry is still readying itself. If you are to stand even a prayer's chance, it must be in initiating the battle before they are ready. Only a few of the enemy manage to get their lances up before your charge strikes them, the Drakkarim's heavily armored steeds and bodies smashing through the middle of the enemy line. In seconds, chaos erupts around you as you drive into them. You spear one of the riders off his horse, never having time to even see what nation he served, or what his rank was. In the next second, you find yourself facing off with another enemy, this one charging straight at you. One of the few enemies who has managed to get his weapon up, he has recognized you as the leader of this frenzied attack, and as such has made you the target for the tip of his weapon. You spur your mount onwards, screaming in rage as you return the favor, targeting him as the next enemy to meet his death on the end of your lance. You will have time to fight one round of combat as you pass each other. Slovian Lancer: Combat Skill: 15 Endurance: 16 If you lose more endurance than the Lancer during this round of Combat, turn to 36. If the Lancer loses more endurance than you, or you and the Lancer lose the same amount of Endurance during this one round of Combat, turn to 2. |
